South Carolina Photographer- Peterson Kids, Columbia Riverwalk

The riverwalk is one of the best places I’ve found here to do shoots so far because it offers a variety of backgrounds. A cute bridge, Spanish moss, a river, a canal, and brick and urban backgrounds too! These kids were perfect. They all had real smiles for me and they didn’t even make me be too goofy to get them! I’m glad mom snuck for a few pictures too.

South Carolina Family Photographer- Francom Family, Saluda Shoals

This family is ADORABLE! Don’t you think? I met Brittany one of my first few weeks here and took their first family pictures they’ve had in several years. One thing you can tell from being around them is how much the kids love each other. They were so sweet with one another and you could tell how much sincerity there was amongst them! I’m so excited to be getting a few shoots on my calendar now. Let me know if you need pictures!

Millie Turns 1

I can’t believe I have a 1 year old. It really seems like 2 weeks ago I was holding her for the first time and now she’s almost walking and becoming more independent every day. I love this little girl more than I ever dreamt possible. She makes me happy. Also, I’m offended. She didn’t like my cake.

Louisiana Engagement Photographer- Hunter & Morgan, Walker

When they found out I would be in Louisiana Morgan wanted me to do her bridals. Unfortunately her dress’s alterations weren’t yet done so we settled for a few extra engagement pictures. As a photographer I find the beauty in simple things. Especially in places I’ve never been. I didn’t know this area at all and I told these 2 to just start driving. Well, like 3 minutes into the drive I saw this GORGEOUS location. It was the back yard of 2 mobile homes. Hunter was hesitant but he knocked on the door of one and no one answered. Being the rebel that I am decided to just ask forgiveness if anyone asked what we were doing. Their yard was beautiful though and honestly, if you tell someone their yard is beautiful then they never say no. I’ve found this to be true 100% of the time. Hunter was a ball of nerves the whole time saying, “People here are different than in Utah. We all have guns. We’re gonna get shot!” But we didn’t. No one said anything and we got the most beautiful and perfect Louisiana look to these pictures. Thanks for being adventurers with me!

Also, Happy 4th of July!

Utah Bridal Photographer, Jason & Emily, Timpanogos Temple

These 2 perfect people are getting married today! I’m so stoked for them. While they were addressing their wedding invites they found out that I live in the same neighborhood as me. Literally like 4 houses a way on a street that intersects mine. I am in the family ward and Jason was going to the singles ward so we never knew each other. 2 days after I did their bridals I saw them sitting on his front steps while my husband and I took our baby for a walk. Small. World.

Brianna Nichole Photography is Moving to South Carolina!

A few months ago my sweet and handsome husband graduated grad school. He’s applied to hundreds of places, had dozens of interviews, lots of job offers and none felt right. Not until the one we just found out about and accepted a few weeks ago. We’ve known we would be moving but just a few days ago found out where to. Columbia, South Carolina. We will be moved by August 15. Because I want to make sure to get everyone’s shoots edited by this date I’m only going to be adding a few more shoots in July. I have 1 mini shoot and 3 regular length shoots left ’till I will close my business here. (But we do hope to be back in Utah one day.) I will definitely give updates on when I will be back to visit family so make sure to quickly snag any of those spots I offer. And I’m not opposed at all to come back to shoot the occasional wedding.

I’ve been thinking about what to write to adequately express my love and gratitude for everyone who has supported me since I started shooting about 9 years ago. I don’t think there are words that mean enough. I’ve had so many repeat clients who stuck with me through my struggling beginnings in high school, have shot the weddings of every child in 1 particular family, was able to capture family photos for two families as one of their children was close to the end of their life. I was honored to shoot in Texas, Idaho, California, Colorado, Louisiana, and of course Utah. Every bride and groom I’ve met through this process have changed my life and made me appreciate the gift of marriage even more. Every engagement shoot I do makes me giddy and come home to my husband with googly heart eyes all over again. Every family I’ve worked with have made me laugh and put a smile on my face. Every shoot I do energizes me and now re-charges my mom batteries. Thank you. To every client who’s ever trusted me to capture an important moment in their life. I sincerely love you all. You have changed my life.

Several people have asked me how many weddings I had to cancel to move so abruptly. I wanted to write this part out because I also need to thank my Heavenly Father for looking out for me. Every Aug-Oct is also a busy time for me. Last year I turned down over 10 weddings while I would be taking my maternity leave to have my baby in September. This year however I’ve had very little interest in that time. Every time I’d think about advertising to try and book weddings during the end of summer/beginning of fall the thought would leave or I’d get distracted. Every time I’d think how weird it was that I had no wedding on my schedule after July I’d also feel peace. I now know that the Lord’s hand was in helping me phase my business out here in preparation to be able to support my husband and our family in moving. I’m so grateful for a Father that looks out for me because he knows how much I care about this part of my life. My biggest fear is having to suddenly cancel a wedding but I’m grateful I didn’t have to call a single bride to cancel.

I started my journey with a $600 dollar camera I saved with babysitting money as a 16 year old and now I start my next chapter on the other side of the United States. I’m so sad to be leaving this beautiful state but also so excited to get to serve the community in Columbia.

I look forward to the time I’m back here again.

Utah Wedding Photographer- Taylor & Kori, Provo City Center Temple and Sleepy Ridge Golf Course

I love Kori & Taylor. Some of the most sincere people you will ever meet and I just love their cute relationship. When these 2 were dating, the first time Kori introduced me to Taylor, I knew they’d get married and am so glad they are now! (You’ll notice I’m in one of the pictures below because I was not only their photographer but also a bridesmaid) In case you were wondering who the break dancing man is, That’s my husband. This was such a great day and am better off for knowing these 2.

Utah Wedding Photographer- Michael & Brittany, Elevé Events Center

Every wedding day has some sort of hitch, right? Well, this wedding was no different. In one of these pictures you will notice Brittany holding 2 wedding rings. Why? Because her ring, the one with the ruby, fell out of Michael’s pocket when they were setting up. So Brittany had Michael’s grandma’s ring put on her finger for the actual wedding ceremony. Luckily a guest found her ring on the floor just after they were married. Brittany’s ring is a family heirloom so everyone was very relieved to have it found. This sweet couple is finally married after 7 years of being together.

Utah Bridal Photographer- Ryan & Karina, Provo City Center Temple & Utah State Hospital

Ryan’s reaction when he first saw Karina was so sweet. It perfectly set the mood for the rest of their shoot! Karina has been living at home since school got out and came back a week before their wedding. We shot these 1 week exactly before their wedding! Shout out to my awesome husband for being Mr. Mom while I got working on this shoot and got it back to them in 4 days. Probably one of my records. You’ll notice toward the end, there’s a picture of them in a ballroom dance formation. That’s because they’re both ballroom dancers! I cannot wait to watch them dance tonight at their reception!

Utah Missionary Photographer- Matthew, Provo City Center Temple

The Daw Family kids don’t go anywhere but crazy places. Jessica went to Russia, Sam went to Iceland, and now Matthew is going to Ghana! I can’t wait to see where Jackson will go when he goes! I asked Matthew how old he was when I first took his pictures and he said he was 12. If I gave any awards to my clients, Matthew would get the most improved smile. Is it weird that I’m proud of his smile?? ‘Cause I totally am! At every single shoot I’ve done with this family it’s been an entire family project to get real smiles from Matthew. BUT this shoot was just he and I there and his smiles are PERFECT! I texted his mom when we were done and told her he smiled perfectly. She replied, “I’m so glad you’ve been able to train him!”

The Daw Family was one of my first ever clients as their daughter, Sara, was one of my best friends in high school. I’ve now shot all their kids senior pictures (minus Jackson who’s not graduated yet), 3 mission shoots, 4 family shoots, and Sara’s wedding. Definitely one of my favorite family’s and most loyal. They saw me through my practicing years and while I was definitely still a beginner.

AND! I want to throw a plug in for Brad, the dad. He’s running for congress! Jason Chaffetz recently resigned and Brad is one of the people now running to take his spot. This family is amazing and Brad definitely is someone we could use in D.C. Visit http://braddawforcongress.com/ to learn more about him. I’d love to see everyone in his district supporting him. I know who I’ll be voting for!
